Fall is in the air and excitement is building for Morgan High School sports fans.  Boys golf, girls soccer and girls tennis have already had their first competitions, and the volleyball team played their first games on Wednesday, Aug. 19.  The cross country team has been training for their first race on Aug. 29, and Trojan football will kick off Friday, Aug. 21 when Bear River comes to Morgan to face off in the endowment game.

On Saturday, April 17, the MHS track buzzed with activity as 17 high school teams gathered for the Morgan Pocket Change Invitational.  The Trojan tracksters set 68 personal records (34 boys and 34 girls) and placed fifth as a team overall behind Weber, Springville, North Summit and Bear River.

Many people heading to the Easter egg hunts on Saturday probably wondered what giant event was going on at the high school. Morgan had been preparing all week to host track and field athletes from 17 different schools in the 2014 Morgan Pocket Change Invitational. The preparation paid off in what turned out to be a very well organized, well run meet.
