Just ask the 3,000 to 4,000 people who raft or tube down the Weber River in Morgan County each year.  Rafting the Weber River in Morgan County is a fun way to see the valley and a relaxing afternoon in the sun.  It’s a great activity for families or organizations, and one of the 50 things to do in Morgan County.

When Dallen Calder saw little children running into the street without looking for cars to chase balls behind the high school soccer goal, he knew he had found a great Eagle Scout project.  He put up a net behind the goal to prevent balls from rolling into the street and completed the project a week before school started in August.

There has been quite a storm of interest in the mountain biking and BMX industry in Morgan as of late.  There is a new mountain biking team featuring students from Morgan High and local resident, Jason Johnson, has proposed a new bike track in the area.  This may be a great idea for kids like Brewer Snedden.

One of the things I think that would make Morgan County a better place is a river walk. I would like to see it tie into the ogden river walk. It could start at the park in Morgan and go by Peterson, Mountain Green, then down the canyon.

Don’t let the first two weeks of the duck hunt fool you -- plenty of ducks will wing their way through Utah’s marshes this season.
Despite good water conditions, the number of ducks that nested on marshes near the Great Salt Lake last spring was down 30 percent from 2009.
