The family of K. Earl Ericksen would like to sincerely thank this community for the expressions of love and sympathy shown to our family during the loss of our father/husband.  We have received an outpouring of concern that has greatly touched our hearts.  We appreciate our association with such wonderful people.

The Morgan School District and the State of Utah lost a great advocate for public education with the passing of Dr. K. Earl Ericksen.  Earl was a man of conviction who devoted a majority of his adult life to our youth and the educational systems that served them.

MTN. GREEN - K. Earl Ericksen, 87, passed away, July 12, 2011 at McKay-Dee Hospital.  

He was born May 22, l924, to Vernal and Anita Stringham Ericksen, in Manti, Utah.

On January 28, l948, he married Gretta Griffiths in the Logan LDS Temple.   Earl was an avid sportsman.  He played basketball, won a high school state doubles tennis championship as well as played tennis for BYU, and pitched semi-professional baseball throughout Utah and Wyoming.  Many family vacations were spent hunting and fishing.

K. Earl Ericksen, 87, passed away, July 12, 2011 at McKay-Dee Hospital.  Ericksen served on the Morgan County School Board for more than twenty years.  He was still serving and lending his insight and vast experience on the school board at the time of his death.
