In continued support of our community, Young Ford and Young Dodge of Morgan gave back in a big way at the Morgan High School basketball game on Tuesday night. During 2013 Young Ford / Young Dodge hosted several events, including the Drive 4 UR School event and a Trunk or Treat, each helping to raise money for the Morgan Education Foundation. Tuesday night at the MHS boys varsity game, Trent Jaques, general manager of Young Ford / Young Dodge, presented a check totaling $4,780 to Brenda Crossley, Morgan Education Foundation president.

The Morgan Education Foundation is spearheading the fun run, what they plan on being an annual event.

The Morgan Education Foundation is excited to announce that Young Ford Group and Peterson Wealth Services are beginning two new and exciting Facebook campaigns that will benefit the foundation.  From now until the end of March, Young Ford will donate $1 to the Morgan Education Foundation for every new “LIKE” on their Facebook page and beginning on March 10, Peterson Wealth Services will donate $1 as well for each new “LIKE” on their page.  As Brenda Crossley, MEF president, commented, “This is so much fun to have people from the community coming forward with such a simple request and willing to give from their pockets to the teachers and the kids.  I love it!”

Shelly Betz (Chair), Kandi Christiansen (Vice-Chair), Lydia Nuttall (Secretary) and Mike Madeo (Treasurer) commenced their new responsibilities for Morgan Empowered on October 11th for the 2011-2012 year.  Our Morgan community wishes to express appreciation for the dedicated service rendered by Lanelle Butterfield, Jennie Earl, and Brenda Crossley who were the previous chair, secretary and treasurer respectively of Morgan Empowered.

One of the most effective resources available to the Morgan School District centers around the volunteer efforts of the PTSO.   This organization is lead by a group of caring parents who are willing and anxious to lend assistance to the education and safety of our young people.  They make a significant and positive difference in the success of our education program.

At the last Morgan Empowered meeting, Lanelle Butterfield (right) was elected as the new Chair for the coming 2010-2011 year.  Other newly elected Morgan Empowered leadership is Shelly Betz, Vice-Chair (second from the left); Jennie Earl , Secretary, (Second from the right), and Brenda Crossley (left) as the Treasurer.
