Springtime is a good time to rid ourselves of items that we no longer need or use but would be of value to others.  This year, why not donate those usable items to the Morgan Chapter of the Sons of Utah Pioneers for their annual yard sale?  The yard sale will be held on June 15 on the corner of the Walker Mortuary from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Our family is so touched by the thoughtfulness of your many acts of service in our behalf at the passing of our husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. The many cards, visits, meals, and flowers are so appreciated. It is great to live in a community that is so kind and loving.

I enlisted in the Air Force Reserve in December 1963 and served 33 years until retiring in September 1996. I spent my entire career in the 945th then 508th then 419th Civil Engineering Squadrons. Some of my tours included numerous bases in the U.S; bases in: Anchorage and Fairbanks, Alaska; Hawaii; Germany; Crete, Italy; Honduras; and Korea.  I served at Incirlik Air Base Turkey during December 1994 and January 1995 in Operation Provide Comfort. The UN called on Iraq to end repression of its population in northern Turkey and to bring humanitarian relief to the Kurds.

I predict Morgan Boys will beat Delta High Rabbits on December 10 at Delta High, 50 W 300 N, Delta, UT  at 7 p.m.  I think the score will be MHS 67, Delta 42.  I think the half time score will be MHS 44, Delta 20.
These are the scores from the past Delta basketball games:
2008-09  MHS 38, Delta 45
2006-07  MHS 51, Delta 52
2004-05  MHS 46, Delta 38
1998-99  MHS 41, Delta 53
Which former Delta head coach is now at Morgan?  The answer is Jim Wiscombe.
This information is from the Utah High School Activities Association.
The last time Morgan won at Delta in boy’s basketball was in 2004-05 when our current players were in middle school!  This information is from past Morgan High year books.

It’s been three decades since my teenage years and I still have very vivid memories of my life growing up in the early 80s.  Of course, it was memorable when I got my driver’s license at 16.  It felt like a small step into the world of being an adult.  I was excited and “ready to roll,”  but it is difficult to “roll” when you don’t even have wheels, let alone the car and engine to go with them.

Over the years I have been doing family history I have occasionally heard someone claim they have their line traced back to Adam.  I have from a researcher hired by my grandma, a record which shows my Mecham line traced back to Adam.  Unfortunately, these claims are fantasy.
