Beth was born to Conrad Alma Smith and Nellie May Compton in Morgan, Utah. She spent her early years in Ogden, Utah. She married Frank Robison Turner on Oct. 27, 1937, in the Salt Lake Temple. They moved to Taft, California, where the first two of their five children were born. They later moved back to Devil Slide, Utah, and had their third child. They built their home in Morgan on Island Road, where the last of their children were born, and they remained there for the rest of their lives.
Funeral services will be held at the Rock Church, 10 West Young Street, Morgan, Utah, Monday, Feb. 17, 2014, at 11 a.m. A viewing will precede the funeral at 9:45 a.m.
Viewing Services will be held at Walker Mortuary, 45 West 200 North, Morgan, Utah, Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014, at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Ward Fowles Winchester, 72, of Heber City, Utah passed quietly at home following a brave battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born January 5, 1942, in Ogden, Utah to the late Delores and Austin Winchester. Ward graduated from Morgan High School, and lived in Morgan for nearly 60 years. Ward was a master welder, working at the Salt Lake City Fairpark, Jordanelle St. Park, and Hill Air Force Base. He had many interests, including ATV-ing, snow mobiling, and rebuilding vehicles.
Casey Ryan Wheeler was born in Ogden, Utah, on May 24, 1977. The son of Robyn and Stephen Wheeler and the youngest of four children, he grew up in Morgan, Utah. He was an active child with an extreme love of sports, undeniable determination, and a charismatic sense of humor. His athletic escapades included countless ice hockey games on the neighbor’s frozen pond with his childhood friends. However, even as a young man, his extreme caring and generosity towards others contradicted his true age. True to his giving nature, he served an LDS mission in London, England.
Duane Dee Stock “Dewey,” 66, passed away peacefully, Jan. 16, 2014, after a valiant fight with cancer. Duane was born on May 6, 1947, at the Dee Hospital in Ogden, Utah, to Carl and Lucille Stock. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and a friend to all who knew him. He was a man of honor, trust and respect. Growing up in Layton on Park Street with his old buddies, playing and riding go-carts was a kid’s dream! Duane attended Layton Elementary, Central Davis Junior High School and was a graduate of Davis High, “Class of 65.” He majored in art at Weber College.

Lloyd Rex Heiner passed away peacefully in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Dec. 27, 2013, with his wife and mother at his side. We are certain he is happy to join his father, brother, grandparents and other loved ones who are rejoicing to be with him again.
Susanna Lyon, daughter of Steve and Sylvia Lyon of Morgan, and Daniel Quick, son of Gary and Rebecca Quick of Spokane, will be married on Friday, Dec. 27 in the Bountiful temple. Please feel welcome to join us between 6 – 8 p.m. at the Morgan Rock Church. The couple will live in Provo where they both attend BYU.
She was a native of Morgan, Utah. She was one of ten children. Vivian has faced and overcome many challenges in her life. Vivian never married but devoted most of her life to the care of two of her brothers and her father. When she was 83 she was one of the most senior participants of the Weber/Morgan Senior Community Service Employment Program. In 2004 Vivian was honored by the Utah Jazz and the Utah Older Worker Coordination Council and presented with an “Outstanding Older Worker Award” at the Delta Center in Salt Lake.
Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and favorite aunt passed away peacefully Thursday morning in her home, with her family by her side. It was Judy’s final rally. For many years she has courageously battled diseases that ravaged her body, but would not weaken her spirit.

Our beloved mother, “GMA C,” sister and friend, Carolyn Carter Christensen, 48, was called back to heaven on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013. She passed away quickly and unexpectedly due to health complications.
Gerald and Georgia Mikesell celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary at their home in Porterville, Utah, with their family. They were married Nov. 18, 1953, in Morgan, Utah. Later their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake City LDS temple on June 2, 1965.

Elder Curtis M. DeYoung, son of Mark and Marcene DeYoung of Peterson, has honorably returned from serving a 25 month mission.
He was called to the California Carlsbad Mission where he served for 21 months, then finished the last 4 months in the new California Irvine Mission which he helped establish.
He will be speaking in the Peterson Ward on November 10, at 10:45 am.
Autumn Rae Barnes, daughter of Rick and Elise Barnes of Mountain Green, and Ethan Blaine Mecham, son of Blaine and Teresa Mecham of Milton, will be married for time and eternity in the Bountiful LDS Temple on Oct. 25, 2013.
Meagan, Maycee, Levi and Mallarie are very excited to announce the birth of their new cute baby brother. Ryder Lee Durrant was born on Sept. 20, 2013, at 5:48 p.m. He weighed 7 lbs., was 19 ½ inches long and has lots of dark hair. Proud parents are Jason and Tana Durrant of Morgan. Grandparents are Craig and Marla Hyde and Mark and Eva Durrant of Morgan and Pat and Kay Roberts of Layton. Great grandparents are JoElla Francis and Joe and Norma Hyde.

Frank Lloyd Wilson will celebrate his 100th birthday on Sept. 28. Family and friends honored him with a party in Kaysville on Sept. 21. He will also be honored at 2 p.m. on Sept. 28 at the LDS pavilion on 4250 W. Cottonwood Canyon Drive, Mountain Green.
Sister Katie Seely has been called to serve as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the North Carolina Raleigh Mission. Sister Seely will speak in the Mountain Green Ward (5378 West Old Highway Road, Mountain Green, Utah) at 10:50 a.m. on Sunday, Sept 22, 2013. She will report to the Provo MTC on the following Wednesday, Sept 25, 2013, and will serve for 18 months.
Danielle Durrant and Cody Ben Rich have chosen Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013 to join together in marriage. A reception will be held in their honor that evening from 4- 6 p.m. at the home of David and Angie Durrant, 641 West Elk Run Drive, Morgan, Utah. In case of inclement weather, the reception will be held at the Rock Church in Morgan.
