Leon LaMadeleine, 72, passed away on July 9, 2014, in Ogden, Ut. Born and raised in Waterbury, CT, he attended St. Anne’s Catholic Church and grade school, Crosby High School, received a BS at UCONN, and a MS in Plant Pathology at UNH in Durham, NH. He served in the US Army, was a member of the VFW and was involved in the Republican Party. He then began a life-long career with the U.S. Forest Service from which he retired in 2002. He was also a member and Director in Melaleuca, The Wellness Company up to his death.
Drew and Adele Downs and the late Lari Peck Downs are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter Dylan Virginia to Tony Casper, son of Dale and Robyn Casper. Dylan graduated from Lehi High School and then met Tony, a Morgan High School graduate, while they both attended Utah State University. Tony served in the Independence Missouri Mission.
Corban John Lunt, son of Ryan and Tawnia Lunt, has been called to serve in the St. Louis Missouri Mission and reports to the Provo MTC July 2. Prior to his departure he will be speaking at the Morgan Utah Stake Center on Sunday, June 29, at 9 a.m.
Marjorie Virginia Lepley Porter, born October 24, 1941, peacefully passed away with her family in the Morgan Valley she loved on June 16, 2014. She grew up traveling with her military family, having cherished memories of many places, her favorite being Japan. She graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1959 and St. Benedict’s Nursing program in 1962. She loved her nursing career and those she took care of over her 50 years of service. Her most memorable nursing moment was meeting the love of her life as a patient while working in the hospital.
The children of Charles and Jolene Price are proud to announce the 65th wedding anniversary of their parents. They were married on June 15, 1949, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple and have been going strong ever since. Their love for one another has done nothing but grow over the years, and now they are enjoying their golden years content in one another’s company.
Verna Mae Lee, 85, of Green River, Wyoming, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at her home. A long-time resident of Green River, Wyoming, and former resident of Roy, Utah, Mrs. Lee died following a brief illness.
Jean Holbrook Bohman, 95, passed peacefully into eternity at her home on Saturday June 7, 2014. She was born October 8, 1918, to Joseph Franklin and Nancy Catherine Burt Holbrook in Ely, Nevada. She married her sweetheart Wilson Dale Bohman on May 2, 1941, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He passed away on July 1, 2007.
Leland Craig Wright, 62, was born in Ogden, Utah, on October, 10, 1951, and passed away May 24, 2014 in Everett, Washington, after a nine-month battle with cancer. He is the son of Leland John Wright and JoElla Hammons Wright.
Megan Miner, daughter of Karen Tucker and Douglas Miner, has been called to the Peru, Iquitos mission. She reports to the Peru MTC on June 17, 2014. Prior to her departure, she will be speaking at the Rock Church in Morgan on Sunday, June 8 at 1 p.m.
Celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary are Allen and LueCree Carrigan of Morgan. They were married on May 16, 1959, in Morgan. They will celebrate by taking a trip to Harrisburg, Oregon, to visit LueCree’ s sister and brother-in-law.
James Covel Woody, of Mountain Green, Utah, passed away on April 18, 2014. He was born Sept. 23, 1931, in Ogden, Utah, to Covel John and Norma Warren Woody. He was educated in the Ogden City schools. He was a member of the LDS Church. James was an amazing example of service.
Our sweet mom, grandma, and great-grandma, Wanda Hansen, was reunited with her lifelong sweetheart on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014. She was born April 3, 1918 to Heber C. and Edna Rock Spackman. Wanda lived most of her childhood years in Castle Rock, Utah. She attended school in Coalville, where she graduated as Valedictorian in 1936.
Robert N. Hartman of Morgan, Utah, recently celebrated his 80th birthday. Born February 17, 1934, he grew up in Ogden, a son of Alfred and Winona Hartman. He moved to Morgan where he hunted, fished, raised cattle and enjoyed his early life. He worked at Hill Air Force Base for 38 ½ years. He started his career as a machinist and worked his way through many positions, retiring as a scheduling supervisor.
Nicole Ann Reardon and Jason Boyd Carrigan have chosen Saturday April 12, 2014, as their wedding day. A reception will be held in their honor at the Ben Lomand Suites in Ogden Utah from 6:30 p.m until 8:30 p.m. that evening.
Hildegard Maria Voigt, age 87, passed away on Monday, March 31, surrounded by her family. Hildegard was born in Tuebingen, Germany. on March 14, 1927, to loving parents Karl Gottlieb Eugen Juengling and Hilde Barbara (Fahrner). Her brother Karl was two years older and they stayed close all their lives.
Rella Robertson Williams was reunited with the love of her life on March 31, 2014, after succumbing to congestive heart failure. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend at the time of her passing. Rella was born of strong pioneer heritage on February 22, 1924, to Hyrum Boyack Robertson and Lenorah Rowe in Spanish Fork, Utah. She lived a life centered on family, friends, church, kindness towards all, and a genuine love of life. She loved keeping a beautiful home, hostessing, and sewing.
Our loving sister, aunt, cousin, and friend, Bonnie Jean Calderwood, age 84, returned to our Heavenly Father on March 21, 2014. She passed away peacefully with her dear cousin and special friend, June C. Wilde, by her side in the Family Tree Assisted Living Center, Morgan, Utah.
