Have you ever noticed the white sign “Morgan Family History Center” kitty corner to Morgan 1st Bank on State Street? Do you ever wonder what happens inside? Did you know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has Family History Consultants in every ward in the Morgan Stake and Morgan North Stake to help you discover your family tree?

A person can contact the High Priest Group Leader in a ward to learn the names of that ward’s Family History Consultants or they can call the Family History Center at 801-829-0221. The center is open on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am to 1pm and 6pm to 9pm and Thursday from 6pm to 9pm.

Consultants will come to your home and help you on your personal computer or the consultant will help you at the Family History Center.

The main focus of the Family History Center is to train Family History Consultants, so they can help people discover and record their family history.

Those who are interested can register on a world wide pedigree at www.new.familysearch.org. A person can search the pedigree to see if their deceased family members are listed. If not, they can add their family members and possibly link into several generations of ancestors.

So, what are you waiting for…get some help from a consultant or do it yourself!
