Wade Murdock to Serve as New MHS Principal

    Morgan- Wade T. Murdock has been selected as the new Morgan High School Principal.  Murdock’s official appointment will occur at a Special Board of Education meeting scheduled for July 13, 2010 at 3:30 P.M. in the district office.  The Morgan Board of Education received input from a screening committee comprised of parents, educators, and support staff prior to reaching their decision.  
    Murdock is a 1987 graduate of Morgan High School.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology and health from Weber State University.  He holds a Master’s degree in school counseling from the University of Phoenix and an administrative degree from Utah State University.
   He began his career at Wendover High School before transferring to Morgan Middle School.  In 2000 he became a counselor at the middle school.  In 2005 he was named assistant principal at Morgan High School.  In 2007 his career took him to the North Summit School District as the middle school principal.
   Superintendent Ken Adams remarked, “We are pleased to have Wade re-join our team.  His main focus will be the welfare of our students and their educational success.”
    Board President Joey Skinner agrees, “Wade is a good fit for the high school and our students.”
   Murdock has the full confidence of the Board and Superintendent.  Many in the community have also voiced their support.  He joins an outstanding staff at the high school.  He feels fortunate to step into a role where the students are respectful and eager to learn.
    “I’m excited to be back at Morgan High and work with the students and staff,” concluded Murdock.
    He is married to the former Merilee Brooks.  They have four children:  McKenzee, Hayden, Brecklyn, and Hayzlyn.
