Oct. 12      Dead Horse Point State Park - Moab
 
Volunteer Trail Day: Join us for a day of trail maintenance to improve the park’s hiking and mountain bike trails. Work will last from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the option to participate half or full day.  All volunteers receive free admission the day of trail work and a voucher for an additional day-use entrance. Oct. 12      Antelope Island State Park - Syracuse
 
Mushroom Springs Hike: Join us at 1 p.m., at the Fielding Garr Ranch for a moderate four-mile hike to Mushroom Springs while discussing the island’s history surrounding the use of water. Space is limited. Entrance fees apply. clayshelley@utah.gov or 801-649-5742
 
Oct. 12      Antelope Island State Park - Syracuse
 
Star Party: Join members of the Ogden Astronomical Society in White Rock Bay as they set up telescopes for deep space viewing. Learn about globular clusters, nebulae, galaxies and more. Beginning at 6 p.m., solar scopes will be set up for viewing the sun. Sunset is at 6:50 p.m. If you bring a flashlight, please have a red filter over it. Entrance fees apply.  801-721-9569
 
Oct. 12      Goblin Valley State Park – Green River
 
Special Dark Sky Event: Join us for a nighttime viewing of our beautiful dark skies at the observation point beginning at 7:30 p.m. 
Fright Lights
 
Join us for Fright Lights October 5 - 30 from 6-10 p.m., (closed Sunday) at the Willard Bay South Marina. Cost is $5 for ages 3-12 and $6 for 13 and older.  
There will be a drive through light park, hay bale maze, laser tag alley, hay jump, free pumpkins for ages 12 and younger, and concessions.
