The Troyettes of Morgan High participated in their first competition this past weekend. The girls had a very successful first competition. They came away with 1st place in every category (military, dance, and kick), won the Sweepstakes trophy that was 4 ft. tall, and also had two girls in the top three for drill down, Nikki Green, 1st place, and Karlie Rupe, 2nd place. The night before was the solo competition. Morgan had two girls participate, one in the jazz category, Kylie Sorensen, and one in the lyrical category, Karlie Rupe. Both came away with 1st place in 3A. The girls couldn’t be more excited and their coach, Natalie Christensen, couldn’t be more proud.
The Troyettes are made up of 18 very talented girls this year. Chrissy Pace (President), Rachel Holland (Vice President), Nikki Green (Secretary), Karlie Rupe (Drill Mistress), Kylie Hoopes, Megan Jensen, Kylie Sorensen, Taylor Mecham, Amanda Walker, Jayd Jacobson, Breann Jorgenson, Kelli Pringle, Cheridyn Prochnow, Morgan Streadbeck, Mikaela Garner, Karlee Stokes, Sarah Nye, and Erika Fairbanks. These girls love what they do, and it shows in all they do. These girls are very dedicated and are working hard to accomplish all their goals. We are so excited to see all they will accomplish this year.
The Troyettes would love all the support they can get at their next competition. It will be held this Saturday, December 11, at Northridge High School from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Thanks again to all who came to support us this past weekend.
Congrats Troyettes. Keep Defying Gravity.
