7 October, 2011 (All day)
We all know what it is like to have our parents tell us what is right to do and what is wrong. Also, we know how annoying that it can be, however it can be the best thing that we can ever receive.
Honestly, there is nobody else that knows exactly what we teens are going through (they were teenagers once too). I always listen to what my parents tell me, because I know that it is going to help me later on or even right now and because they love me! Yes sometimes I don’t like what I hear when they tell me what is best for me, but I do it anyway.
I love my parents; I know that every day, what they tell me will benefit me later on in life. Our parents know a lot whether we like it or not. How many times have we told our parents, “You don’t understand what I am going through!”? Reality is, they do know. They know what it is like to worry about failing grades, about losing a friend, or even having a crush on someone.
Our parents are here to help us get through life, they will tell you how to do things differently only for our own personal wellbeing. One day it will be too late to ask for their advice when you need it the most. Don’t take you parents for granted now or ever.
“When I was 16, I thought my parents knew nothing. When I was 21, I was shocked to discover how much they had picked up in the last 5 years.” -Winston Churchill
