Sterling Scholar - Tyler Kippen ~ Science

Tyler Kippen, son of Bryan and Rachael Kippen, was chosen as Morgan High School’s 2011-2012 Science Sterling Scholar! Tyler scored a perfect 36 on the science section of the ACT. 

He also placed third in science at this year’s Academic Olympiad competition and was the Top Scholar at the State Academic Decathlon competition for 2012. At the high school 

Tyler is an active member of the Debate team, the AcaDec team, the Morgan Youth Service Interact Club, and the National Honor Society where he serves as a vice president. It’s no surprise that his favorite classes are Physics and Chemistry. 

An unforgettable high school experience for Tyler was the time he had the opportunity to visit Washington D.C. along with other high school students from around the state. Continually serving the community, Tyler enjoyed participating in the Head Start Program in Ogden where he spent an evening playing games with underprivileged elementary school students. 

In his leisure time Tyler takes pleasure in sports, reading, fishing, and spending time with friends. After graduation Tyler plans to continue his education and earn a degree in physics.
