This year’s Skilled and Technical Sciences Education Sterling Scholar for Morgan High School is Megan Stapley, daughter of Kurt and Maggee Stapley! In the 2011 Morgan County Fair Megan had the grand champion steer and was the reserve champion showman as well.

She was also the fourth highest individual in live stock judging at Snow College this year. At the high school Megan thoroughly enjoys her agriculture classes and is involved in track and field, the Future Farmers of America, and National Honor Society. As a leader Megan served as the FFA Secretary her junior year and currently serves as the Vice President of Morgan High’s chapter of the FFA.

One of the many service projects that Megan has been a part of was the Sub for Santa at Morgan High School. This was an unforgettable experience for her because she thought it was incredible to see what a big difference people can make when each person simply gives a little. Megan could also never forget when she took state with the Morgan High volleyball team her junior year.

Outside of school Megan enjoys showing steers, playing sports, snowboarding, and shopping. She plans to further her education at Weber State University in the fall where she will study Dental Hygiene.
