The Foot Clinic has been changed from our usual 4th Tuesday to March 29th instead. If you already have appointments, you will receive a call from the center; however, if you need to make an appointment, call 801-845-4040.
Tuesday, March 29 There are still a few places left for the Park City Trip for shopping and lunch. Enid Wilde will be a great hostess and Mary Kaye is the official driver. This will be a very enjoyable day.
Tuesday, April 5 - Shopping trip to Ogden immediately after lunch. Call to get your reservations.
Wednesday, April 6 At 1:00 Jessie Garcia will continue with his classes on “Living Well with Chronic Conditions”. This week Mr. Garcia will focus on dealing with difficult emotions as well as physical activity. These classes are offered to any senior free - just show up.
Thursday, April 7 Relay of Utah will be at the center at 12:15 p.m. for a presentation by Stephanie Miller. She will explain telecommunication services that are available to residents to help them communicate independently. There will be applications available also to apply for in-home services to aid people who are hard of hearing. Please feel free to have lunch with us and then enjoy this informative session.
Wednesday, April 13 at 12:15 p.m. Karyl Chase will be here to talk about Senior Companions and what a vital resource they are for our communities. There will also be a few surprises available to our wonderful volunteers.
Monday, April 18 55 Alive Class 9 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Participate in this informative class for four hours with Marie Nye as teacher and receive anywhere from a 3% to 7% discount on your automobile insurance for three years. You will be amazed at how many ways you can improve your driving skills! If you are a member of AARP, cost is $12 with card. If you are not a member, cost is $14.
Tuesday, April 19 Hugh Davis will be receiving a volunteer recognition award at the Hilton Hotel in Salt Lake City. An article and more information to follow.
Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point 9 a.m. Rick London will be volunteer driver for this event. Folks who have seen this tulip festival say it is unbelievable. Call for more information and to sign up.
Wednesday, April 27 McKay Dee Senior Care will sponsor a discussion on “Stroke Prevention” immediately after lunch at approximately 12:30 p.m. Feel free to attend and even join everyone for lunch, if you like.
