The Rut Less Traveled - Seasons of Our Lives

Article Date:
18 May, 2012 (All day)

The seasons of our life are vast and varied.  Some days are full of blue skies and cool breezes, while others are cloudy, dark and cold.  Of course we know that each season is necessary to not only keep the circle of life  of refreshed, but renewed.

So it is with the seasons of our lives.  They are meant to help prepare the soil of our soul for the seeds of hope and renewal that the spring will bring.  All of us will experience winters of worry and the darkness that doubt and discouragement brings, but these seasons of treason will pass and we will prevail over the vale of sorrow and find bright joy in our tomorrows.  But how do we find hope and peace for now?

How can we hope for May flowers when we feel like we’re being drowned by the April showers?  This is not an easy thing to do, but we each must learn to dance in the rain, even if we don’t have an umbrella or a partner.  It sounds too easy, or too silly, but I’ve learned in my life, I can either learn to dance, or I can just sit there and drown.

I know it’s not easy to believe the sun will ever shine again when the wintery chills of our challenges seem endless, but I promise you the sun is still there and it will shine again.  The snows will melt and the rains will stop and you will see the sun again.  Don’t stop believing or living.  This is your life and no matter what season you’re going through right now don’t stop believing in yourself and your future.

Find friends and family with warm hearts and hearths and if it happens to be raining...turn up the music and dance!
