Road work continues on I-84

Article Date:
28 September, 2012 (All day)

Work continues on the reconstruction of I-84, from Mountain Green (SR-167) to Morgan (SR-66). Shouldering, crash cushion, delineator/barrier reflector and barrier pad movement activities will take place from Peterson to Morgan. Grinding and striping on the new concrete roadway will continue over the next few weeks. Construction is nearly complete from Peterson to Mountain Green. Crews work from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m., six days per week.
Construction of a cable median barrier is underway on I-84, between milepost 105 and 107 between Morgan and Taggart. While most of this work will occur in the interstate median, motorists should be alert for construction vehicles slowing down in this area, or entering the inside lanes to leave the construction zone.
Loads wider than 12-feet wide are prohibited on I-84 in the construction zone. For more information on oversized loads routing, call the UDOT Motor Carrier Division at 801-965-4892, the Echo Port of Entry at (435) 336-5286, or the Perry Port of Entry at (435) 734-9414.
