RECOGNITION OF MILITARY VETERANS TO BEGIN JULY 4TH EVENING PROGRAM

Article Date:
1 July, 2011 (All day)

The July 4th committee will again honor and recognize all Military Veterans from the County that are in attendance. The evening’s program will begin approximately at 7:45 PM with the posting of the colors by members of American Legion Post 67 and VFW Post 6154.

Following the posting of the colors, a token of appreciation will be passed out to all Veterans in attendance by a number of Eagle Scouts from around the valley. This token, is an American Flag lapel pin, with the word VETERAN inscribed below the flag. Rather than medallions, which normally are worn at the event they were passed out on, the lapel pin can be worn year round. The invitation is out to all Veterans, who reside within the County, to come and be a small part of the evening’s program and be recognized and receive this token of appreciation for your service in protecting the freedoms we so richly enjoy. Hope to see you all there and have an enjoyable evening.
