Operation Smile

Article Date:
3 February, 2012 (All day)

The National Honor Society at Morgan High School is putting on an Operation Smile fundraiser again this year! It will take place on Friday, Feb. 3 after the boys’ basketball game against Bear River at the high school from 8:30-11:30.

Operation Smile is a program in which doctors and surgeons travel to developing countries to perform an awesome surgery on children born with a cleft lip or cleft palate to give them the opportunity to live a normal life. Each surgery only costs $240 and significantly changes not only the smile, but the life of the child it is performed on.

The goal of NHS is to raise enough money to brighten as many smiles as possible! Every single Morgan High School student is invited to attend this fundraising event! Tickets are being sold in the commons during both lunches for $10 and will be sold that night at the door for $12. Food will be included in the ticket and your name will be put into a raffle drawing.

There will also be a variety of fun activities to participate in such as face painting, dodge ball, Rock Band, Just Dance, and much more! The community is invited to donate to this honorable cause as well at the basketball game that night.

Helping others and having fun as a student body in the process is what this night is all about!
