The entire student body of Mountain Green Elementary school received a special treat when local artist, Zach Winegar, carved the school mascot, an eagle, into one of the large pumpkins that have been on display at the school for the past few weeks.  He carved the eagle into a 994 lb. pumpkin grown by Tyler Quigley, also of Mtn. Green.

It took Zach over 6 hours to complete the project using clay modeling and ceramic tools.  This carving was the first one Zach has ever done.  The students and faculty wish to express a huge thank you to Zach for being willing to share his time and talents.

Pictured with the pumpkin is the artist, Zach, with his two children Paige and Dallin.
