The arrival of Deseret Book items on the shelves of Morgan Valley Crafts has brought a lot of attention to Commercial Street.
“The addition of religious books and gifts seemed like a natural fit in the existing craft store,” said owner Don Anderson. Anderson opened Morgan Valley Crafts last year and has been excitedly adding new items ever since.
The new store has most of the items from LDS Distribution as well as many of the items sold by Deseret Book. The store also carries items for missionaries, baptisms, birthdays, and lesson preparation, as well as music, movies and sheet music.
With all the recent storms around the globe, emergency preparedness is on the minds of many. It is difficult to find dehydrated food that actually tastes good to stock up on for your food storage. Because of this, the craft store will stock Wise Products.
Endorsed by Marie Osmond, Wise Products offers a line of dehydrated food that is great for food storage. The menu options are tasty and have a shelf life of 25 years.
Fan charts printed from FamilySearch have been increasingly popular this year. As senior vice president of patron and partner services for FamilySearch and director of the Family History Library, Anderson knows his way around genealogy, so the decision to bring in a large format printer was an easy one. These family history charts can be printed in full color or sepia. They look beautiful matted and framed and make great Christmas presents.
Morgan Valley Crafts will host a grand re-opening to showcase their new products on Dec. 7 in conjunction with the Ol’ Time Christmas on Commercial celebration. The event will feature samples of Wise food storage products as well as either a book or CD signing to be announced at a later date. They will also be offering 10 percent discounts on all craft items, and 15 percent off all bookstore merchandise.
The retailer is also proud to be sponsoring the coloring and gingerbread contests that will be going on that same day.
