Morgan Sons of the Utah Pioneers seek nominations

The Sons of the Utah Pioneers have placed the Early Morgan Pioneer Monument in the Morgan City Park.  In the last two years Charles Sreeve Peterson, George Washington Taggart, Thomas Jefferson Thurston and Sanford Porter have been recognized.  This year we are adding two additional names to the monument.  

We invite you to consider submitting names for this recognition.  Individuals previously submitted will still be considered.  If you submitted an application and desire to update it you may do so.  

Qualifications are that those submitted are to possess qualities and character that exemplify the early pioneers of the Utah Territory; had faith in God, devotion to family, loyalty to church and country, hard work and service to others, courage in adversity, personal integrity and unyielding determination; can be male or female, young or old; must have been a resident of Morgan County prior to 1869; and made a significant contribution to Morgan County.
