Morgan High Wrestlers Off to a Great Start

The Morgan High School Wrestling team started off the 2010-2011 season by traveling to the Evanston Invitational last weekend.  Twenty-six teams from Wyoming and Utah competed in the two-day tournament.  Morgan had four wrestlers in the Varsity finals.  Senior Jackson Lake scored a take down in the final ten seconds of the last period to win the match 3-and take 1st place.  Colton Walker, Randon Prochnow and Connor Jensen took 2nd place and Cormick Breshears finished 4th.
In the JV division, three wrestlers competed in the finals, two of them against each other.  Easton Pentz and Kade Carrigan were 1st place winners.  Cameron Andersen finished in 2nd place, and Jake Anderson took 3rd.
In the Freshmen Division, one wrestler was in the finals.  Luke Larsen came up a bit short to finish in 2nd place.  Tyson Spens took 4th and Wells Wilkinson placed 6th.
Morgan traveled to Coalville on Wednesday, December 8 to face North Summit and Carbon in a tri-meet dual.  Today the team travels to Roy for the two-day Roy Classic tournament.  Results for both are forthcoming.
