A group of high school girls from Morgan recently captured the Utah State Summer Games tournament champs title.
Their tenacious defense coupled with sharp shooting from the field led them to the state title over Cedar City 47-33.
They also had victories over South Sevier 48-14, Hurricane 71-26, and Milford 55-19 en route to the championship.
The Utah Summer Games is an annual event held on the Southern Utah University campus, with over 10,000 amateur athletes competing in various athletic events.
Utah Summer Games Mission is “Celebrating excellence in the human spirit and healthy lifestyles through extraordinary sporting events and competition.”
The girls are coached by Mike Evans, Shannon Tripp, and Dani Murdock.
