Morgan County Library Celebrates “National Library Week”

Article Date:
1 April, 2011 (All day)

As a community there our many places we gather and enjoy. Morgan County Library loves being one of those places.  Now it’s time to celebrate the opportunity we have to read, learn and enjoy our wonderful library.  During the month of April we would like to share a few things with our community.

National Library Week is April 10 – 16, 2011 and we have a few plans for the month of April.  This year’s theme is “Create your own story @ your library.” There are many creative people who live in our county and we would love to hear the stories they have to share.   We will be having a “Story Writing Contest” for all ages with rules available at the library.  Stories from children and adults can be entered and will need to be turned in at the library by April 18.

Story hour is Wednesday and Thursday at 11:00 a.m. for the preschool group and Thursday after school at 2:30 p.m. for school age children. We share stories and encourage creative moments with your children, so come join us.

There will also be a silent auction in our display cabinet starting the first of the month.  There are some treasures for you to look at and see if you might find something to place a bid on.  The biding will continue until the 23 of April, so stop by and take a glance.
