Recently members of the Morgan 11th Ward joined together for A Day of Service by painting Buildings at the Morgan County Fair Grounds. More than 100 men, women and children joined in the effort.
Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints have been asked to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Church Welfare Program by rendering service in their community.
Working with Morgan County, Ward members provided labor to freshen a number of structures at the Fair Grounds in preparation for the up coming 100th anniversary of the Fair.
Primary children pitched in by painting the parking bollards, while youth and adults scraped and painted several of the buildings. “We had a great turn out and everyone had a lot of fun.” said Bishop Rob Burby. Of course the Relief Society was on hand to provide refreshments.
