The newest addition to the recently completed Morgan Health Center is full-time, family physician, Dr. Wyatt West.
Dr. West in new to the Health Center, but is not new to Morgan. He moved to the Morgan area during his junior year of high school. West says “I fell in love with this town immediately.”
West was a member of the MHS football team and remembers playing in the state championship game in 1997. He also ran track his junior and senior years. West is not the only track star in his family, his wife Jamie ran track for Davis High and Weber State University and has been the Davis High track coach for the last six years. Jamie specializes in hurdles and would love to be involved with the Morgan track team.
Even though he only had two years in the area before he left to serve an LDS mission, when people would ask where he was from West would proudly reply, “Morgan.” He considers it his home.
Dr. West is the eldest of eight children. His parents still live in town and his two youngest siblings currently attend Morgan High School. He now has two small children of his own, Colin who is 4 years old and Lydia who is 1 year old.
The University of Utah was lucky enough to have Dr. West graduate from their medical school and he completed his residency in Ogden. He is currently accepting new patients at the Morgan Health Center. MountainStar is proud to have Dr. West on board and encourage residents to establish him as their primary care physician.
The clinic also covers urgent care needs and same day appointments are available. The clinic offers the following services: annual exams; physicals; immunizations; well child check-ups; diabetes and glucose monitoring; hypertension; geriatrics; blood tests; blood pressure checks; and basic gynecology.
Dr. West joins Alan Bybee PA-C. Bybee has been serving the community well for many years now. Bybee earned his degree from Western Michigan University and has many years of experience in comprehensive family medicine, family planning, women’s health care and occupational medicine.
The clinic staff is thrilled to have this addition to their well-balanced staff and hopes that the public will feel free to drop in and say hello.
