Dalton J. McFall, 24, will be in court June 18 on three counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, three counts of dealing in materials harmful to a minor, one count of unlawful sexual activity with a minor, and one count of lewdness involving a child.
On Dec. 22, 2013, a resident taking her child to the bus stop witnessed a couple in the back seat of a vehicle with Arizona plates engaged in what appeared to be a lewd sexual act. Police found the vehicle and questioned McFall, the driver. While speaking with officers, Deputy Rob Taylor noticed McFall messaging a female he knew to be a minor.
After a judge approved a search warrant, officers text messages and images on McFall’s cell phone. Officers describe the facebook images as “harmful.”
McFall told officers that although he picked the female up from the high school for lunch, and later returned her to the school, he believed the 14-year-old female was 18.
Officers also questioned the female, who willingly turned her cell phone over. The phone contained text conversations with McFall for over a month previous. Officers took the female to the Weber Valley Detention on four charges of distribution of child pornography and one count of lewdness involving a child.
McFall was booked into the Weber County Jail.
