The Community Development Corporation of Utah are offering a Home Repair Assistance program from the Utah Division of Housing & Community Development. This program is available to people who live in the Morgan County and has a yearly household income at or below 80% from the federal income guidelines.

The home repairs are given based on income, and issued on a flexible term, low interest loan repayment plan. Most loans for the home repairs range from 1% to 3% interest. To begin the process, an application can be filled out online or by calling the phone number listed here. The Community Development Corporation of Utah, issues the loan to the home owner, then the home owner issues the check out to a contractor that works directly through the Community Development Corporation. A construction manager from Utah Division of housing and community development oversees the work of the contractors, seeing that work is done to expectations, and the Community Development Corporation acts as a liaison between home owner and contractors. They can assist with contractors and bids as well.

This low income, low interest loan program can help with the following repairs:

• Replace a roof

• Update a heating system

• Make your home wheelchair accessible

• Update plumbing and electrical systems

• Replace broken windows

• Eliminate any unsafe conditions

• Renovate moisture-damage bathrooms, ceilings and walls
