The Young Automotive Group held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Young Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram dealership on Friday, June 27, 2014.  The new dealership is expected to open its doors in early 2015.
Young Automotive Group Owner Spencer Young, Sr., Morgan City Mayor Ray Little, and Young Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram General Manager Trent Jaques spoke at the event.  The event was moved inside the current dealership showroom from its planned location on the adjacent lot due to inclement weather
The rain let up following the speeches, allowing them to join Young Automotive Group President Spencer Young, Jr., and Young Automotive Group Vice President Kelly Moss outside for a physical breaking of ground.
The Young Automotive Group has deep roots in the Morgan community.  They began in 1924 as Olsen Oldsmobile in Morgan before expanding to Layton in the early 1950s.  Ninety years later, they have returned to do business in Morgan.
In addition to sales and property tax revenue that will be generated by the new larger facility, the construction and operation of the new dealership will create many employment opportunities.  With automotive service space that more than doubles that of the existing dealership, Young Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram plans to hire additional service writers, technicians, parts professionals and support staff.
The Young Automotive Group is one of the most established automotive dealer groups in the state of Utah.  They are a fifth-generation business representing nine dealerships in Northern Utah and Southern Idaho as well as Rocky Mountain Raceways in West Valley City, Utah.  To learn more, visit www.youngautomotive.com
