Goldenwest Credit Union and members of the Utah Giant Pumpkin Growers recently teamed-up to help feed families in need.

Goldenwest set a goal to collect as many donations pound-for-pound at their branches as the largest locally produced pumpkin this year. Mountain Green’s Matt McConkie broke the state record with his 1600-pound pumpkin!

Goldenwest members donated more than 3,400 lbs of food and goods during the campaign. In addition, Goldenwest received close to $3,000 in monetary donations from members. All donations were delivered to five different food banks throughout Utah, including the Morgan Food Pantry.

Local Goldenwest branch manager Bev Jones recently presented a check for $500 to Tracy Kummer, Food Pantry Director with Morgan County Community Services.

“We were touched by the many generous donations our members made to help feed families in our community,” says Jones. “Goldenwest is grateful for the opportunity to help Morgan residents who seek assistance from our local food pantry.”
