Edna Jaques Little of Morgan, will celebrate her 85th birthday on Sunday, Nov. 20. Family and friends are cordially invited to attend an open house in her honor, on Saturday, Nov. 19, from 2-4 p.m., at the Morgan LDS Field Street Chapel, 240 S. Field Street, Morgan.
Edna was born in Devil’s Slide in 1926, and was the fifth of six children born to John Franklin Jaques, Jr. and Tillie Darlene Clark. Her siblings are Thelma Rees (deceased), Della Stephens (deceased), Rhea Iverson, Dean Jaques (deceased) and Merla Foust (deceased).
At a family barbeque in August of 1944, Mom met the love of her life, Frank W. Little, and were married just four months later in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Their children are Cathy (Don-deceased) Dinsdale, Craig (Laurie) Little, Kim (Peggy) Little and Annette (Doug) Harris. Her posterity includes 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great great-grandchildren.
Mother has been the peacemaker in our family and has spent her life caring for others. She was widowed in 1998, but her life is full and active. She has lived in and served this community for the past 67 years.
