Anniversary - Abbott and Nancy Mikesell

  Abbott and Nancy Mikesell of Morgan will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary, Wednesday, November 2. They will be honored at a private family dinner.

  They were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, November 2, 1951.

  He was born in Porterville, Morgan, Utah, on June 25, 1928, to Joseph and Martha Lythgoe Mikesell.

  He served in World War II and Japan Occupation Forces.

  He attended Weber State College, was a machinist at Hill Air Force Base, a rural mail carrier, and Postmaster for the U.S. Postal Service in Morgan.

  She was born in Kansas City, Missouri, on March 28, 1933, to William and Mildred Shuman Hammons.

  She graduated from Morgan High School and worked for the Internal Revenue Service and Browning Arms Company.

  Both are retired.

  They are active member of the LDS Church and have served in various positions. They served 12 years as church service missionaries at Temple Square in Salt Lake City. They cherish friendships they have made along the way in church work and their community.

  Their children are Ivan and Kami Lambson, Jeff and Celia Evans, Wayne and Cindy Porter, Trent and Karen Mikesell, Chuck and Sharma Johnson, Todd and Lisa Mikesell, and Mitch and Diana Mikesell.

  They have 19 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren with another great-grandchild due this November.
