You are invited to attend an open house to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of Stephen and Jean Dickson on Friday, April 22, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Rock LDS Church in Morgan.

Stephen is a native of Morgan County, having grown up in Richville and having graduated from Morgan High School.  He was called and served in the Canadian LDS mission with headquarters in Toronto, Canada.  He also served in the Army at Fort Eielson Air Force Base in Alaska.

Jean grew up in Panguitch, Utah.  She graduated from Panguitch High School and later from Henager’s Business College in Salt Lake City.

Stephen and Jean met in Salt Lake City and were married for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on April 21, 1961.

They lived in Salt Lake City for the first 17 years of their marriage and then moved to Morgan in 1978, where they made a home and immediately loved the people of this community.

Stephen was a service man for Mtn. Fuel Supply Company, later known as Questar, for 30 years and retired in 1991.

Together Stephen and Jean have raised a beautiful family of 10 children: Daniel and Diane Dickson, Kimberly and David Carruth, Stephanie Dickson, Cynthia and Brian Fiso, Thomas and Tami Dickson, Melinda and Terry Wheelwright, Tamera and Andrew McCain, Angela and Richard Lawrence, Rebecca and Jon Yorgason and Alicia and Zach Evans.  They now have 34 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Besides enjoying family activities, they have served two full-time LDS missions, one to Ireland and one to India. They also enjoyed serving as ordinance workers in the Ogden LDS  Temple for 7 and a half years.

Please come and celebrate this joyous occasion with us.  All are invited.
