2014 Sterling Scholars - Tyson Lindley—Technology Sterling Scholar

Article Date:
18 April, 2014 (All day)

Tyson Lindley is the son of Trevor and Tiffanie Lindley.  He is the oldest of four children, whom he is a good example for.  In his free time he enjoys playing baseball (which is more of an obsession than a hobby), swimming, competing in Future Business Leader of America competitions and travelling.
He is extremely involved with school activities.  Between being FBLA president, choir performances, baseball practices and games, Sterling Scholar activities, and other school-sponsored events, he is not bored very often.   He was one of the main leaders of the Collin Raye benefit concert, which was put on at Morgan High on April 7.  All the flyers, yard signs, tabloids and a billboard were his designs.
The digital design aspect is what connects Tyson with computers more than anything else.  He has wanted to be a sterling scholar since he was a freshman.  He looked up to a senior who seemed to have it all.  The senior was tall, athletic, smart and was going places in life.  When he was awarded a Sterling Scholar, Tyson knew he wanted to be Sterling Scholar as well.
After high school, Tyson plans on serving a two-year LDS mission.  When he returns home he plans on going to college (where at he doesn’t know yet, but his mother is rooting for BYU Hawaii).
He plans on majoring in business but on a pre-med track as both careers appeal to him.
